Groups Set for Egypt

Well, the draw for the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt took place last night at what was widely hailed as an extravagant event at the Luxor Museum. The 24 teams are now set into six groups of four to compete for U-20 World Cup glory.

The U.S. will be looking to advance out of Group C of the tournament, taking on Germany, Cameroon and Korea Republic along the way. The U.S. also has the distinction of being in one place - Mubarak Stadium in Suez - for the duration of group play.

To see what head coach Thomas Rongen and some of the players had to say, click here. We'll have much more from Rongen after his return from Egypt, where he is doing site visits and attending some informational workshops in between visiting pyramids, later this week.
