Having already qualified for the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup, Gambia claimed its second African U-17 trophy on Sunday, dispatching host Algeria 3-1 in the final. En route to the crown, the Baby Scorpions scored 12 goals in five matches while only conceding one - a penalty kick in the final.
The other teams that will look to keep the U-17 World Cup trophy on the continent are Algeria, Burkina Faso, Niger and host/reigning world champion Nigeria.
