No, Samantha Mewis has not yet seen the famous flightless Kiwi bird for which New Zealand is so closely identified, leading of course to the nickname "Kiwis" for residents of this beautiful island country. (Kiwi birds are nocturnal and reclusive, and thus very difficult to see outside of a zoo). Of course, it's also a fruit and a major export from New Zealand. Sam had a chance to eat a Kiwi in the land Kiwis, which we think is cool if you are a lover of fresh fruit. And who isn't? Next up for Sam is eating an Apple in Apple Vally, Minn, peeling an Orange in Orange County, Calif. and munching on a peach in Peachtree City, Ga.
