U.S. Arrives in Auckland

The U.S. team had a pretty easy travel day yesterday, having a leisurely breakfast, loading the bus at 10 a.m., leaving at 10:30 a.m. and arriving in Auckland just after the Noon hour. The team had a nice lunch and had time to relax before training in the afternoon at the Takapuna Soccer Club just minutes from the hotel. The day was beautiful, the air so fresh it was almost fragrant and the training field was in amazing shape. If we haven't said it so far, the local organizers have really done a fantastic job on this World Cup in all facets of putting on a tournament. The YNT Blog would like to suggest that all U-17 Women's World Cups be in small countries from here on as the level of attention, enthusiasm and excitement by organizers, media and fans have all been impressive.

It's hard to pick out the U.S. players who nappped on the team bags as they waited for their room keys.
