On day two of U.S. Soccer’s Development Academy excursions to Universal Studios Hollywood, the bloggers tagged along with the Chicago Fire, CASL, and FC Westchester as they took a few hours off from soccer to soak up the sun and the fun in the Hollywood Hills. Once again the teams went on a studio tour of the famous back lot, which has been used in various movies such as War of the Worlds (above), Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift, and Jaws. After getting a behind-the-scenes look at the film industry, the athletes split up and set out to explore the rest of the park. The blog joined FC Westchester on “Jurassic Park The Ride” (right), and followed the Chicago Fire onto the new “Simpsons Ride” (coaches were also seen waiting in line). After taking a few trips on “Revenge of the Mummy,” and grabbing some food at Louie’s Italian Restaurant (still need those carbs!), the teams headed back to the buses and departed for the HDC. Some of the players took more than just good memories with them, as a few were spotted wearing Sponge Bob T-Shirts, and sipping out of large souvenir cups. Enough fun boys…back to practice!!
